Privacy Policy

1. What We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to connect you with an IBEW organizer:

  • Name or alias (text you provide)
  • Phone number and/or email address (only the contact method you choose)
  • City and state
  • Current employer or jobsite (optional)
  • Your submitted story or message (optional)
  • Consent timestamp and IP address (required for legal record of authorization)

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To forward your contact details to an IBEW organizer for follow-up
  • To send you a confirmation email with next steps
  • To maintain a legal record of your authorization and consent
  • We do not sell, share, or disclose your information to third parties, advertisers, or your employer

3. Data Storage & Security

Submissions are stored in Cloudflare KV, a secure globally distributed key-value store. All data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS). Access is restricted to authorized IBEW organizers only.

4. Data Retention

Authorization and consent records are retained as required for legal record-keeping. Other contact data is retained for up to 24 months or until you request deletion, whichever comes first.

5. Your Rights & Opt-Out

You may at any time:

  • Request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (except where retention is legally required)
  • Revoke consent for organizer contact

6. Analytics

This site uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-respecting analytics service that does not use cookies, does not collect personal data, and does not build user profiles. No personally identifiable information is used for analytics purposes.

7. Spam Protection

Forms on this site use Cloudflare Turnstile for spam protection. Turnstile does not use cookies or track individuals and is designed to be privacy-preserving.

8. Employer Non-Disclosure

Under no circumstances will your employer, current union, or any third party be notified of your contact with the IBEW. This is an absolute commitment.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
